Palm Oil - Elaeis Guineensis

Although it is native in West Africa, Egyptian pharaohs used this oil all the way back in 5000 B.C., yet it did not become a commercially used product until 1917.

It is mainly used in the food industry, but is gradually becoming more and more popular to the cosmetic market.
